Welcome and Thank You for Your Support

It is critical that we support our school levies and bonds. Creating successful students who are lifelong learners and contributors to our community takes a commitment from each of us.

Citizens for Schools is a non-profit political action committee. Its mission is to support the passage of necessary levies and bonds put forth to voters in the Edmonds School District.
The 2010 Replacement School Programs and Operation Levy must be approved to maintain the level of services currently offered within the Edmonds School District. It is a replacement of an existing levy set to expire in 2010 and is therefore is not a new tax.
The levy provides approximately 20 percent of the district's General Fund dollars and helps support:
  • Additional teachers to help keep class sizes smaller
  • Paraeducators and staff who support the educational program
  • Textbooks and instructional materials
  • Student transportation
  • Athletics, music, and drama
  • Co-curricular activities
  • Services for special-needs students
  • Support for programs, services, and technology
  • Staff training to improve teaching and student learning
  • This funding is critical for our children and our community. Vote YES on February 9, 2010!
